Jen Ryan serves as vice president, Stop Loss Underwriting, for HM Insurance Group (HM). In this role, she leads the development, execution, and monitoring of Stop Loss pricing strategies for HM Insurance Group’s business placed with a national consortium partner, as well as partnership business in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, and Delaware.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Jen’s areas of expertise include: risk assessment, management, and mitigation.
Jen joined HM Insurance Group in 2022 as manager, Underwriting, before moving to the director position in 2023 and the vice president position in 2025. Prior to joining HM, Jen worked for a New England-based regional health insurance carrier for more than 18 years in various underwriting and management roles.
Jen also is a registered nurse, which is an asset in helping to assess the risk profile of prospective and/or existing clients.
